Channel Management

The Channel section is used to create channels where devices can send data. Channels are essential for setting up communication between your GPS devices and GPStoApp.

Creating a New Channel

  1. Navigate to the Channel section in the dashboard.
  2. Click on Create New Channel.
  3. Provide the following information:
    • Protocol Type: Select the protocol used by your GPS device.
    • Channel Name: A recognizable name for the channel.
  4. The system will generate the following details:
    • Protocol: The communication protocol of the channel.
    • Endpoint URL: The URL devices must send data to.
    • Endpoint Port: The port for data transmission.
  5. Save the channel.

Notes

  • Set the generated Endpoint URL and Endpoint Port in your GPS device settings to enable communication.
  • Ensure the protocol matches the device’s supported protocols.
